Come into a serene place,
beneath the old oak,
on a hill top high above.
This was the first in the series “Just Black & White.” For these, I distill a photo down to its basic shapes, then (usually) add some texture. The result resembles pen & ink on classy paper.
I always enjoy compositions with depth–from close foreground to distant background–and I’m sure that’s part of the appeal for me here.
