Come away a while and wander through these woods.
Float slowly far into its corners, gliding over the newly fallen snow
that makes all things beautiful.
This is one of my favorites. It’s the snow, of course–the shadows of the tree trunks on the snow, the distant details highlighted by the snow. It draws you in to wander through the woods.
Months after I finished this one, I wanted to emphasize just the shapes, so I reduced it to only two tones. It turned out well, but the result was so different that I thought it needed it’s own name–“Moonlit.”
